- Extended 2008 hunting season special cabin rental rates. The Mt. Fish Wildlife and Parks have extended the 2008 elk hunting season for both cows and bulls till Dec. 21, 2008. We are running a special on our cabin rentals for this extended season. Upper Canyon Outfitters is located in prime elk hunting and offers some of the best elk hunting in SW Montana. You can start hunting right from the ranch. We are located in the Beaverhead National Forest in hunting dist. #324 and #330. The ranch sits at the base of the Snowcrest Mountain Range, North of the ranch is the Greenhorn Mountain Range, and to the east of the ranch runs the Gravelly Mountain Range. Cabins: Available are four completely furnished deluxe log cabins. Each cabins is equipped we full size kitchens, cooking utensils, coffee makes, full size stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave. Three cabins are two bedroom two bath these cabins will sleep six people. The smaller cabin is one bedroom, one bath that will sleep three people. The cost of the larger three cabins is $175.00 per cabin per night, and the cost of the one bedroom cabins is $150.00 per night. You will need to supply your own bedding and towels. We offer game retrieval for your harvested game at a minimal charge. There is free wireless high speed internet service for the cabins. We will help you with your success by offering you information on the area, where we have been seeing the elk, review maps we have designed for our unguided hunters alone aerial photos to give you a wonderful overview on how to hunt our area. - Swan Mountain Guest Ranch has a separate 1100 square foot guest cabin that includes a private bedroom with its own bath and queen sized bed, a bunkroom with 6 double bunks and 4 twins, a bunk loft with 4 mattresses. A separate bathroom accommodates the bunks. All told, the cabin can handle a group of 15 comfortably. It has a full kitchen, satellite TV, washer/dryer and phone. The cabin rents for $225 per night, ($275 on Holidays), $600 per weekend ($700 on holiday weekends) or $1400 per week ($1750 spring break). This cabin is ideal for families or small groups or clubs. Amenities of the Main Lodge can be accessed for an additional $100 per night (theater, pool table, hot tub, etc.). If you have horses or dogs, there are corrals and a kennel, so for a little extra we can accommodate. During the winter we operate a cross-country ski resort. Hunters can rent the cabin during spring or fall so that they can access the game rich Swan Valley for bear in the spring, and bear, elk and deer in the fall.
